Ladbrokes moves into Spain
Online bingo giant Ladbrokes has won a license to operate in Madrid thanks to a joint venture with Cirsa Slot.
Spain’s online bingo market is tipped for growth in the near future and Ladbrokes has ensured it has a foothold in the region through its new Sportium venture.
Ladbrokes will initially focus on delivering sports betting to Spain and has a license to open up to 70 outlets in the country.
A turnover of Euro 80 million is expected in Ladbrokes’ first year in Spain and the potential to capitalise on Spain’s increasing interest in online bingo will no doubt be a major consideration for the company.
