Support for anti-UIGEA bill
Online bingo’s fight against the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) has been given a boost after 10 sponsors weighed in with support.
US Congressman Barney Frank introduced his anti-UIGEA bill on April 10, seeking to stop the UIGEA being implemented, and the bill is making positive progress.
Sponsorship from 10 sources has been secured for the bill, which was put before Congress after a hearing by the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Domestic and International Monetary Policy, Trade, and Technology, demonstrating the pitfalls and problems with implementing UIGEA.
