A judge in Kentucky has postponed the ruling regarding the seizure of 141 online gaming and online bingo domains until next week.
Judge Wingate chose to postpone the ruling in order to consider oral arguments presented in yesterday's hearing.
The arguments, presented by lawyers representing gaming operators and consumer advocacy groups, claimed that internet domains do not constitute a gambling device and that the state of Kentucky has no jurisdiction in a case involving international business.
Kentucky law states that devices used in the provision of illegal gambling can be seized by the state.
A number of the 141 domain names seized have either ceased to operate, blocked Kentucky residents, or changed their URLs, but 75 per cent of them continue to operate unchanged.
