Bingo Blitz is one of the biggest success stories in the area of Facebook bingo games and it is fair to say that it has taken a lot of hard work to secure that success.
The big news in recent days has been the launch of Zynga Bingo on Facebook, but it did not take long for Buffalo Studios, the company behind Bingo Blitz, to realise that there were similarities between their product game play, graphics and layout and the new Zynga game set up that could not be ignored.
Salim Mith, Buffalo Studios product marketing Vice President, has pointed out in no uncertain terms that Zynga directly copies many aspects of their game, including the use of different themed Bingo rooms and cities, and features the updated powerups option.
In just one year of operation on Facebook Bingo Blitz has managed to exceed the one million daily players mark and it is understandable that others would want to emulate that success, but should stop short of direct copying.
This is not the only instance of copycat games in the social network gaming market and it looks like the problem is likely to grow further over the coming months, but it is clear the Bingo Blitz are not going to take this issue lying down and will do everything in their power to have Zynga make amends to their application.
